Join us in supporting the Norwich Twp Fire Symposium on May 2, 2011: Fire House to the Fire Ground

Location

5181 Northwest Parkway, Hilliard, OH 43026

Description

The engine company is the backbone of the American Fire Service. Because of this, at any fire ground operation, emphasis must be put on getting the first handline into operation, whether it be an 1¾” or a 2½” or even a master stream. For this handline to be effective, the company must know the nozzle that they have selected, how it operates, what the gpm is, how to estimate how much hose is needed, and finally, how to get the line into position, operate and advance through the fire area.

This class will cover both 1¾” or a 2½” handlines, various nozzles, including smoothbore and both hi and low pressure automatic nozzles, proper pressures and flows, and advancing and operating handlines in either a training facility or an acquired building (read less)
