Saving Lives with Outstanding Stroke Care

OhioHealth Grant Medical Center was recently awarded the American Heart Association and American Stroke Association’s 2016 Get with the Guidelines® –Stroke Gold Plus Award, the highest award possible from the organization.
Hospitals receiving the Get with the Guidelines Gold Plus Achievement Award have reached an aggressive goal of treating stroke patients with 85 percent or higher compliance to core standard levels of care as outlined by the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association for 12 consecutive months. In addition, those hospitals have demonstrated 75 percent compliance to seven out of ten stroke quality measures during the 12-month period.
The awards recognize OhioHealth’s commitment and success in implementing a higher standard of stroke care by ensuring that stroke patients receive treatment according to nationally accepted standards and recommendations. The Get with the Guidelines program ensures hospitals have the right tools and resources to save lives and hasten recovery time of patients.
WE continue to be dedicated to implementing a high standard of stroke care for our patients and ensuring they are receiving the most advanced treatment quickly and safely.

Grant Honored for Cardiac and Stroke Care

Grant recently was honored with the Get With The Guidelines Performance Achievement Award from the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association for our performance in treating cardiac and stroke patients using the association’s GWTG program.

GWTG is a hospital-based quality improvement program designed to ensure that hospitals consistently care for cardiac and stroke patients following the most up-to-date guidelines and recommendations.

The Silver Performance Achievement Award is a wonderful reflection of Grant physicians and associates’ commitment to our cardiac and stroke patients.
