Dr. Urmil B. Pandya is a board-certified trauma surgeon who has worked at Grant since 2008. He completed his general surgery residency at Riverside Methodist Hospital and earned his medical degree from Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine. He completed his trauma fellowship at Grant in 2008. Dr. Pandya has been a strong role model for the Trauma Program and provides leadership within the trauma service for staff and residents. In his role as Trauma Associate Medical Director, he will be responsible for the overall function of the trauma critical care service to include research, education, quality and performance improvement. Dr. Jason P. Straus is a board-certified trauma surgeon who completed his general surgery residency at Wright State University School of Medicine and completed a surgical critical care/trauma fellowship at Orlando Regional Medical Center. He completed one year of a cardiothoracic fellowship at Indiana University School of Medicine. He is an Advanced Trauma Life Support instructor and an instructor for the Fundamentals of Critical Care Support course (FCCS). Dr. Straus served as a locum tenens trauma surgeon at Grant and Bethesda North Hospital in Cincinnati. He earned his medical degree from St. George’s University School of Medicine.
