A Message of Support for our EMS Community

Every day, EMS are there for us—for our families, for our friends, for our communities. Many times these brave men and women may go unnoticed. They are working behind the scenes of a fire or on the side of the road at a car crash. At OhioHealth, we recognize and salute their efforts, sacrifice and bravery. We see them as our partners, respected colleagues and friends. Recently, our area EMS have suffered some great losses. Some of these courageous men and women died in the line of duty; while others faced job and personal challenges.

Our hearts and prayers go out to all in the EMS community. If you see an EMS, fire service, or emergency care provider, please thank them. If interested in grief and loss workshops, contact OhioHealth EMS at (614) 566-9111. If you or a loved one are suffering from grief or want to talk to someone call the National Suicide Prevention Hotline at (800) 273-8255.
